In housekeeping, the focus is on independently cleaning the hotel rooms and public areas of the hotel to create an inviting and clean ambience for guests. Tasks include thoroughly cleaning rooms, replacing bed linen and replenishing consumables. The area of responsibility also includes laundry care, in particular washing and preparing towels. These activities require a high degree of attention and care in order to meet the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
A lateral entry into the housekeeping team is possible and offers an excellent opportunity to establish yourself in the hotel industry.

Hotel specialists welcome and advise guests, help foreign guests in English, look after guests during their stay, market the hotel and events, serve food and drinks, prepare offers and invoices, run the hotel cash register, manage events, prepare guest rooms and plan staff assignments.
Chefs are responsible for the creative creation of dishes and menus, the careful planning of menu sequences and expert plating. They have in-depth specialist knowledge of nutritional rules and hygiene regulations, handle the professional storage and preparation of food, advise guests, calculate prices for meals and menus, are responsible for purchasing, select suppliers and learn different styles of cooking, from breakfast to à la carte.
Restaurant specialists are responsible for the reception and individual care of guests, including the planning, organization and implementation of events. They advise guests on event planning, prepare offers, prepare drinks at the bar, advise on food and drinks, present, serve and sell them. They also prepare food directly at guests’ tables, organize service processes independently and prepare accounts.
Specialists in the kitchen are responsible for the careful preparation and post-processing of food, the professional preparation of dishes in compliance with hygiene regulations and the consideration of sustainability aspects. They are involved in guest service, such as serving buffets, and take on tasks relating to goods receiving, professional storage and inventory management.
Specialists in the gastronomy industry are responsible for serving food and drinks and taking orders. They specialize in the preparation of drinks at the bar and the attractive decoration of the guest area. Her skills also extend to the cold kitchen, including the preparation of cold dishes and the organization of breakfast buffets. They are also responsible for checking stock levels and receiving goods to ensure that operations run smoothly.
